The Challenge
- The market in the beauty industry is highly saturated, and so to compete, Craig and Amy knew they had to stand out by sharing authentic content that resonated with their target audience. With this goal in mind, they decided to focus on influencer marketing, particularly through organic posting, to spread brand awareness and acquire new customers.
- Searching manually for creators was a time-intensive process. While they wanted to scale their influencer marketing, they found that without the proper tools, it was difficult to scale.
- Running video ads on the popular TikTok platform was proving expensive for them while not bringing positive ROAS (Return on Ad Spend). And so they decided to pivot their strategy towards more cost-effective static images after hearing about the industry-wide trend about the increasing performance of static content.
The Solution
Through Insense, Digital Beauty Group was able to quickly set up and manage organic posting campaigns, get matched with creators that perfectly fit their brand’s aesthetic, and easily communicate their content requirements.
Their strategy involved collaborating with creators who posted the images to their Instagram Stories and Amazon storefront to enhance brand awareness and reach new audiences. They’ve sourced over 100 UGC assets at an average cost of $67, which they have repurposed for use on their website, social media channels, email newsletters and their Amazon listings.
Through creators on Insense, they now have a reliable, cost-effective source of content, reducing their expensive in-house content production. As a result, Digital Beauty Group achieved a positive ROI, with a 38% CR (per product) on Amazon listings, thereby boosting their beauty sales.
