Brand strategy and marketing manager
The Challenge
- As Fling grew, so did their need for high-quality creator content to fuel their marketing efforts. Initially, the brand relied on in-house management to source, brief, and collaborate with influencers. However, with multiple products, increasing demand, and an expanding customer base, handling influencer outreach, content creation, and payments manually became a growing burden.
"I managed all of our marketing, from writing scripts to editing content, running ads, and working with creators. As we scaled, doing all of that alone became a real challenge."
- Before switching to Insense, Fling used Billo, another creator marketplace. Billo provided access to creators, but it lacked managed services, leaving the brand to handle the entire process independently. As Fling’s marketing needs grew, so did the operational strain of managing influencer relationships.
"Billo was fine for a small brand, but as we grew, we needed more than just a marketplace—we needed a partner who could help manage the process."
- In addition to operational challenges, the cost of UGC production was a major hurdle. Running traditional UGC campaigns meant paying individual creators per piece of content, which quickly added up—especially for a growing brand with a diverse product line.
"The biggest challenge was balancing quality and cost. We needed more content, but traditional UGC campaigns were expensive."Without an affordable way to scale content production, Fling was limited in the amount of creator content they could generate. The brand needed a cost-effective way to source high-quality UGC at scale without increasing manual effort.
The Solution
When Fling set out to improve their influencer marketing strategy, they needed a cost-effective, scalable, and hands-off solution. That’s where Insense came in. "The biggest benefit for me has been having an account manager and a team that acts as an extension of ours. They handle the heavy lifting, from creator sourcing to campaign management, which saves us so much time."
Besides creator sourcing, Insense’s team handled the entire campaign, reducing the workload for Fling’s marketing team. Instead of manually writing briefs, vetting creators, and managing logistics, Fling simply needed to receive fully managed execution—from content approvals to payments. "Before Insense, I had to write a brief every time, go back and forth with creators, and handle payments manually. Now, I just choose the creators I want to work with, and Insense takes care of the rest." This streamlined process not only saved time but also ensured consistency, allowing Fling to expand their influencer marketing efforts without adding any internal workload.
One of the biggest advantages of working with Insense was the ability to launch a product seeding campaign at scale. Instead of paying per post, Fling provided free products to 60 creators, allowing them to experience the product and share content organically. "We were able to work with 60 creators at once instead of the usual 10 or fewer. That kind of scale was game-changing for us." Unlike traditional influencer campaigns, this approach meant: Lower content acquisition costs, since no upfront payments were required. Higher authenticity, as creators posted only if they genuinely liked the product. More UGC at scale, generating 44 videos that Fling could repurpose across paid and organic channels.
